About TechiesDay 2003

The third annual TechiesDay was celebrated nationwide on October 1, 2002. A special thank you to all of you who participated in making TechiesDay 2002 a special day for techies and techies-to-be both in the workplace and in the classroom.

TechiesDay is a day for tech professionals and organizations to volunteer their time, talent and skills to encourage students in grades K-12 to learn more about careers in technology.

Started in 1999 by techies.com and a consortium of government and industry leaders, TechiesDay was established to address the long-term demand for tech workers. TechiesDay 2000 helped bring business, government and education leaders together for the first-ever Workforce Development Summit in Washington, D.C.
